Dr. Melissa Walker is always too busy for starting a family or even for finding the right person to share her life. She followed medical school with four years of surgery residency, and spend two years after that specializing in surgery in the hand. Melissa Walker is not too old to have the baby because she didn’t pass through menopause yet, that is the time of life when the women stop menstrual flow. This woman is still producing hormones such as estrogen and progesterone that prepares for pregnancy. Ovaries still produces ovum therefore the woman is fertile, can still have babies.
This woman can use techniques and treatments available in markets that aim to enhance fertility including hormone therapy, egg donations, assisted reproduction and artificial insemination. There is a case of Rajo Devi that become a mother at 70 years old and Mary Shearing give birth to twin daughters at age of 53; if those women manage to have babies at these ages why Melissa Walker can’t. She is not too old to have a baby.
Advocates of treatment for older mother may highlight the unfair way in which women are vilified for having families in their advanced years, whilst men who father children at equivalent ages are not judged in the same way and may even celebrate. The three embryos that survive will be babies at the same time and that is advantageous because the children will grow up together and they can play and talk to each other. They will be brothers and sisters; they will take care of each other especially when their parents died. In my opinion the embryo that didn’t survive will not be taken as abortion because it is not the human being yet it is just the embryo. I think life begins when there are organs, when it is a
