DiscriDiscrimination is the unjust or prejudicial treatment of different categories of people or things, especially on the grounds of race, age, or sex. It unlawful to discriminate against anyone, but it happens often in today’s society. Discrimination causes suicide, protests, and unjust or unfair rules. Approximately 34,000 people each year commit suicide. That is not even counting the people who have either thought seriously about, or even attempted to commit suicide. Over half of these suicidal actions were due to discrimination. Most of these being females, transgender people, and LGBT people. Is discriminating really worth causing someone to take their own life? Recently, the news has been filled with protests against discrimination.
