Is Deception Ever Justified

Throughout our lives, we have shown deception at least once or twice. Whether it just be a little white lie about yourself or lying to a judge. For some it is completely against their morals to do so while others use deception as if they needed it to survive. It can be used to impress others and can help someone get out of a bad situation. Even though we know deception is bad, it’s very hard to avoid. Growing up I was taught that the worst thing you could do is lie to someone and I firmly agree, but I believe that the act of deceiving one another is simply just human nature. If I were trying to convince someone that is not true, I wouldn’t only be lying to them but I would also be lying to myself. Lying to someone requires to convince myself that what I am saying is actually true in order for the person hearing the lie to believe it. If I wanted to try to cover something up, I would have to follow through with what I said even if I didn't believe it because I know it’s not true. It would be easier to say the truth because it’s what’s morally right and it is what actually happened, so I would have to lie to myself in order for me to convince someone of my tall tale. They would be no where near royalty if they had told the truth once throughout their rampage. It is first noticed when Macbeth first murders the king. The guards come in after to check on the king, Macbeth had to take them out too. When they asked him what happened, he claimed that they killed the king so he had to defend himself. Instead of Lady Macbeth telling the truth, she pretends to believe him and fake faints as if she was overwhelmed by the whole incident.
