For my research paper the topic I chose to discuss was, is community policing effective in reducing crime in neighborhoods. Throughout the past year there have been more instances of police brutality and law breaking in neighborhoods where community policing is not policy. My argument is that crime, violence and police brutality will decrease in neighborhoods that have community policing. Community policing is defined as a law enforcement tactic enforced to progress a stronger connection between the police and the community. The idea is for the police and the community to work together to decrease the rate of crime in the community.
