Some believe that college is a good investment, while others disagree with the idea of college. The first article, is it worth it to go to college by Allison Linn. The article is based on the expenses of college and if paying the money is worth it. I too, agree with Linn college is expensive but worth it. In the second article, Next Time Someone Says ‘College Isn’t Worth It Anymore’ Show Them This by Kevin Short. The second article is based on the idea that college is very much so worth it, but also very expensive. I fully agree with Short’s statement. The third article, Is College Worth It? by PewResearchCenter. This article is based on the idea that college is no worth it Yes, College is worth the expenses and the years of hard work. According to the second article Linn states that college is expensive, but it is a great idea. They believe that college is not worth it. The author states, “Americans think a college education has become too expensive for most people.” This shows that college is too expensive. The author also states, “A slim majority of higher-ed grads think college prepares them for a job…” Well, college does prepare you for a job, it actually prepares you for more than a job; a career. College is important and the PewResearchCenter even stated, “86% a good investment” meaning that college a good investestment to most people. College is a very important step in your life, you will obtain more of your goals than those with high school education. With a high school education you would be lucky to get a job with good benefits. But, with a college degree you will obtain greater salaries, you will be more likely to receive promotions, and/or earn raises. PewResearchCenter believes that college is not worth it, but college is worth everything you put into
