College education is define as continuing education after high school at a Community College or at a University. In our society today, there is a big debate on rather college education is worth the financial investment. Some people have a debate that college is worth the financial investment that most students must incur and some people believe that education is a waste of time and money. However, I believe one side has greater benefits then the other.
In the beginning of my college year at Western Kentucky University, I was very scared and confused of going into the unknown. I thought about many negative things, such as ending up with a huge debt after graduation with no job. Furthermore, I decided to continue college anyways and face the future conscious. During my third semester in school, I worked in the airport in which I met many intelligent and successful people with college degrees who inspire me to be very determine on getting a college education. Moreover, from time after time we have seen great men in history such as John Locke, Thomas Jefferson, Martin Luther King and Aristotle talk about the importance of education. According to Katharine Hansen, “education is the essence of the democratic ideals that elevated the United States from a backward land of rebellious colonists to the greatest, most spirited, powerful and successful nation in the world.” College education teaches people how the economy works, how to critical think, how politics works and the advance of technology. Generally speaking, the knowledge of college education is worth the financial investment because everything in the world
