College is the next part …show more content…
Something that I have struggled with is essentially what I’m excited for in college: meeting new people. I love meeting people and making friends, but the process of making friends scares me. Nevertheless, I have done multitudes of things to help counteract this problem such as getting a job, volunteering at my local church, and joining student council. Doing those tasks has helped me overcome this obstacle and helped get myself out into the world and learn skills that I need to know for college such as leadership. Joining student council was pivotal in the evolvement of my leadership skills since my leadership skills were truly lacking before I joined student council. After I get accepted to a medical school, I have to go through the medical school’s rigorous four-year program, go through a four-year residency program, and then possibly a fellowship program depending on what type of doctor I want to become. I know this will take years of hard work and dedication in accomplishing my goal of becoming a doctor,
