Ethical issues surrounds technology during school. The use of technology has increased cheating throughout generations. High-tech devices are easy for youth to buy and there all over. Students everywhere cheat with the internet due to the fact that technology is advancing. Students may feel the need to cheat because they feel pressured by colleges to achieve outstanding grades. According to Ensuring Academic Integrity article, “Students may believe outstanding scholastic performance paves the difficult-to- navigate path to success”, (Mills-Senn). The new generation pushes students to achieve exceptional grades because that is what they think colleges want. According to Cheating The System article,“Academic dishonesty can affect your life outside the classroom ny eroding your moral standards and skewing your sense of right and wrong”, (Girls’ Life). Cheating will change a persons perspective when there older. They will cheat more and not know what is right and wrong. Cheating will sometimes have different effects on people. If someone cheats all of the time it changes the way they think about them and about others. According to eMedical Teacher article, “Individuals involved in cheating were more likely to show moral weakness in other aspects of their lives”, (Ellaway). By skipping school work and cheating through tests important skills are not being developed. To succeed it takes hard work but cheating is the easy way out. Nobody learns from cheating.
