Is Beowulf a truly a Hero? Beowulf is certainly a true hero, all his qualities fall into place of a hero’s characteristics. A hero is a person who is not scared and willing to fight, and defend anything in the name of good. Beowulf defends all of Herrot from Grendel not expecting to get anything out of it. Beowulf is courageous and humble.
Beowulf knew he was the strongest man in all of the land. He didn’t use his strength to bully the weaker people. He didn’t even have to help Herrot that wasn’t his homeland or any of his concern. Beowulf had a big heart and used his strength to fight off evil monsters, and defend innocent people. Beowulf is a warrior like any good anglo-saxon common hero.
