Do Beowulf deed make him a good role model? The protagonist Beowulf is based on a hero of the Geats, who comes to the aid of Hrothgar, king of Danes, whose great hall, Heorot, is plagued by a beast by the name Grendel. This beast like creature was something from hell. Grendel had the most disgusting odor.It smelled like dead-decaying fish at the end of the land luka harbor. He looked similar to the swamp beast. Grendel was very hungry,huge and horrible.Although Beowulf kills Grendel with his bare hands and Grendel’s mother with a giant’s sword that he found in her lair.

Even though when everything was being taken place, suddenly Beowulf had awakened. When Beowulf woke up, and notice all the warriors in distress, he immediately rushed to help. Even though Grendel believes that he is a powerful monster, and much bigger than what Beowulf imagined, Beowulf knew that he could take him. “No weapons, therefores, for either this night: unarmed he shall face me if face me he dares. And may the Divine Lord in His wisdom grant the glory of victory to whichever side He sees fit."said Beowulf before he goes to fight …show more content…
On the last encounter Beowulf had put together but with the help of another crew for backup just in case. However, Beowulf and the crew traveled on land just to find Grendel. Finally on an island named the Island of Green, we found Grendel and as soon as he was spotted by Beowulf, Beowulf attacked him. After many strikes at each other, Grendel took a final hit and Beowulf was on the ground. Beowulf was not moving or getting up. The warriors didn’t stand there and let it happen. One of the warriors took out their sword and slayed Grendel while his back was turned,and Grendel was finally dead. The warriors and Beowulf returned back to the ship to return to the danes.
