To all of my grandchildren living with your parents, I am writing to you to inform you on how the world use to be like back when I was your age. There were both good and bad things going on, often or not they were bad. The world was not what it is like today and when I am gone I hope you never live through what I had to. The constant threat of terrorist attacks and nuclear war looming over us. Even the good still overweighed the bad in some ways. Where the world still suffered we had our ups and downs just like any day, month or even year. We may be better off now than when I was a kid but it still does not mean we are out of it yet. The world may have been more hostile back then but at least none of you have to live through the terrorism, nuclear threat, or the constant natural disasters. …show more content…
Terrorists claimed that America was the source of all evil and that we needed to be stopped. They would cause constant attacks on our soil with suicide bombing and mass shootings. Terrorism back in my day was a very big issue for the world, we could never feel safe with the ever looming threat of a radical Islamic terrorist threatening to bomb a city. They were set on the idea of America being the worst of the worst making us their primary target with anyone who oppose them or align with us being a target as well.
