Project Task 1 (Rationale)
A global issue that is important to me is abortion. This issue bothers me because abortion can affect many girls like me, around the world. 58% of the girls that get abortions are in the 20’s. I strongly feel like abortion is not being treated like any other criminal case. Many teen have abortions and hardly understand them. I believe abortion should be illegal worldwide.
When I think of abortion, many questions, thoughts, and concerns come to mind. Some questions are that why is abortion not considered a crime? Should it be considered a crime because the person is committing a crime or not? What causes the thought of abortion? The issue could be fought from several people, but also there are a lot of people that believe if the girl got pregnant by rape then she’s allowed to have an abortion. In some places abortion is completely illegal.

Abortion is murder, as soon as the baby is beginning to form, it 's considered alive. Saying that a mother should be allowed to choose whether she wants an abortion or not is saying that it 's her choice whether she wants to murder her baby (Debate, 2016). Life starts at conception not birth, to be considered alive a person needs to have a pulse. A baby has a pulse within the first 3 weeks of pregnancy. Abortions happen up to 24 weeks when the baby 's organs are already developed and can already feel pain. A baby’s heart starts beating at about 18 days from conception. By the 5th week of pregnancy the baby’s lungs bladder and intestines are already forming and begins to successfully work. Also, 7 weeks into pregnancy the baby’s brain begins to develop (Mayo Clinic, 2016). During the 7th week of pregnancy an abortion is still legal but the baby already started to develop and the heart has already started to
