Is Abortion Morally Correct? Abortion consciously terminates a human pregnancy, usually done during the first 28 weeks of a female pregnancy. Many people recognize this act as unfair, brutal, and even murder to those who cannot speak for themselves. Even though many strongly feel that this is just the ejection of a group of cells, abortion is morally incorrect because, not only do abortions put women in dangerous situations resulting in death or disease, but it also kills. As a contradicting factor against certain religious beliefs, many people are against this act. In Exodus 20:13 from the Bible, it is written that no man should kill. She writes, ”among the 49 areas that provided data for 2006, a total of 846,181 abortions were reported". Meaning, approximately one million innocent and defenseless lives lost. "These actions result in distress for not only the pregnant woman, but also her family. Though she may not tell anyone, eventually the truth reveals itself through circumstance, guilt, or mistake" (Reasons Abortions). The mother will be influenced, particularly inwardly, a short time after. I many instances, blame, tension, and dissatisfaction torment these women after they follow through. As stated by Christianet, this demonstration influences families all-in-all. The source writes, “the abortion mentally destroys the family by making it more difficult for new Americans who survive beyond the womb to find the family welded together by the indissoluble bond of marriage solely between a man and a woman." And, "Children need families that will nurture them, guard their innocence, and develop their personalities" (Reasons Abortions). Illnesses and passing are familiar side effects to this act. Karen Pazol states, “In 2009, 8 women died as a result of complications from known legal induced abortion; from 1973-2009, 411 women have died as a result of legal abortion.” It does not stop there, the quantity of unlawful abortions in the United States amid the 1950s through 1960s reach out to 1.2 million. About 5,000 American mothers passed away yearly as an immediate aftereffect of these hazardous, back-alley abortions. “There are currently no medical schools that provide instruction on abortions”
