Is Abortion Humane?
Is abortion a humane action to take or is it not? There are many debates and arguments over this topic. There have been court cases, rallies, and protests. People tend to have strong opinions on what pulls at their heart. Heart strings are not the only things preventing this argument from being solved. There are plenty of facts to support both sides. It is difficult to pick one side as the “right” side. Both have consistent facts and supporters. Instead of choosing a side and shutting out the other, let there be a solution provided. To defuse the debate, abortion should be legal only if certain issues such as incest, rape, or if the mother’s life is in danger.
Abortion is a better option for a child than growing

Most women do not have the time, money, or motivation to raise a child. Especially if her partner is no longer in the picture after the child is born. Being a single parent is already difficult. A single mother with no experience or help is even more difficult. A child should not be forced to live without the proper necessities.
Additionally to being a better option for the child, abortion is a safe procedure. Abortion helps lessen how many women conduct coat hanger abortions. A coat hanger abortion occurs when a woman uses a coat hanger to pierce the fetal sac. Instead of going to the hospital to have a secure procedure, women will be forced to execute a self-induced procedure. Numerous women have died from coat hanger abortions. If abortion becomes entirely illegal, then there will be no other choice.
On the contrary, abortion is not a completely safe procedure and there are more options than have been mentioned. Few women have been killed by having an abortion. Though it is a safe procedure for most women, it is still a risky procedure. “Compared with other medical procedures, the abortion industry is largely unregulated. Although there are no exact statistics for the number of women who die from botched procedures, LifeDynamics.com compiled a list of 347 women killed by legal abortions since 1973” (“10 Reasons Why”

If abortion ever becomes illegal, women will be forced to take irrational measures to terminate their unwanted pregnancies. Found in Pro-Choice Action Network’s article, Misconceptions About Abortion, some women find unskilled practitioners that will perform the procedure, but they commonly perforate the uterus, misjudge the length of gestation, and no not fully complete the operation. Therefore, instead of only one life lost, two lives would be lost if abortion were illegal. Another unsafe abortion technique, is the coat hanger abortion. Abortion is morally permissible in which a fetus is not a person which deprives the fetus to its right to life, circular reasoning is an ineffective to oppose abortion, abortion only risks the fetus not society, and deprivation from a fetus's future and suffering of a loved one has no effect on the argument towards anti-abortion. One of the most important aspects of abortion being legal is the issue of safety. Until abortion became legal in the U.S. Supreme Court’s 7-2 decision in the Roe v. Wade case of 1973 (McBride,Alex), many women were forced to undergo unsafe abortions. It is estimated that nearly 1.2 million women died during “back alley” abortions before Roe v. Wade was passed.…

Abortion is a touchy issue. Many say it is okay, others are totally against it, and some think it’s acceptable, depending of the circumstances. In my opinion, it’s wrong and not at all necessary, unless in the case of pregnancy, the mother is informed she will perish during the pregnancy term. Science continues to say a fetus is only a small “lump of tissue” but it isn’t, it’s human, it is a life. We are taught, “You shall not murder,” yet there are about 100, 000 lives aborted yearly.…

On average, there are 293,066 sexual assaults on women ages 12 and up every year in the United States of America. If you do the math, factor in the leap years, that comes down to about one sexual assault of a woman anywhere from the age 12 and up every 107 seconds. What if some of these sexual assaults ended in pregnancies? About 5.0% of them do, although it may not seem like much, it 's important. By no means should abortion be promoted as a product in the supermarket, however that does not mean the option should be taken away from women who suffer from sexual assaults which are unfortunately often committed domestically or by someone they know.…
