Enkivillage's Argument Against Adoption

Improved Essays
Humans have the right to make their own decisions based on how it will benefit them in the future. They grow up with morals and learn how to choose from right and wrong, which ultimately leads them down their best path. Although people think this path is their best or only option, it may sometimes be misleading and become a mistake, but mistakes can be fixed. Making mistakes is part of human nature. A significant mistake some females can make is becoming pregnant during an inconvenient time of their lives. While some may argue that abortion is cruel and a woman should carry her child for the full nine months of her term then consider adoption rather than killing the fetus, a woman has the right to her own body and should be given the choice …show more content…
According to Enkivillage, “the actual heartbeat [of a baby] will begin around six weeks along [the pregnancy].” So if an abortion is done by the six-week mark, a living and breathing person was not killed. Putting their child for adoption is an option for women after their pregnancy, but it has often been seen that when a woman gives birth to her baby and holds the infant in her arms for the first time there is connection between the two which makes being separated from each other very emotional. Many women would rather get an abortion when the baby is still a fetus than completing the full term because they cannot bear to give their child to another after witnessing the birth. It takes nine months for a fetus to fully develop in a women’s womb and up until the end of the sixth week the baby’s heart does not beat, so getting an abortion before the six weeks is acceptable and if a woman finds out after then whatever she thinks is better for her and the baby should also be her choice to make. If a woman was forced to give birth and raise her unwanted child, then it is unfair to the baby because he/she is living a life where he/she is constantly reminded of how he/she was a mistake. This can be traumatizing both for the mother to live every day with the constant reminder of her mistake and for the child who knows it was

No one has the right to take away a life of a person, especially the innocent unborn child who cannot defend its authority, the right to life. I am pro-choice, but not because I do not value human life, and most certainly not because I hate children. I believe that human life is of the utmost importance, but I also think that women’s rights are essential. It is not inhumane, or unfair for women to seek out an abortion, it is their medical decision, and it is their right to have control over their own body. People state that the mother could simply give the child up for adoption, but that may not be the best option, and there are a number of reasons as to why someone would seek out an abortion. Pregnancies can be extremely costly, and the mother may be unable to afford to keep the child.…

The evidence stunning proves that the misgiving and dying rates of legal abortion are several times higher than that for carrying a pregnancy to term. Even more frighten is the fact that beginning at the 8th week of your pregnancy, an unborn baby that is aborted feels pain during the abortion. The baby feels both mental and real, living pain. Of course, whether people believe it or not abortion is a painful experience to the unborn child that's being aborted, the baby is left no less dead as a result. In talking about the question of…

I am going to politely disagree with you on this one. A baby has formed a heartbeat around the 4-7 week of pregnancy. I know that many people handle situations differently, but terminating my own child would devastate me. From my personal opinion and knowing how I handle things, terminating my OWN child would probably make me super depressed and effect me in the worst ways possible. I know that I would be depressed, upset, and angry at myself for a long time knowing that practically murdered my own child.…

Baby’s or small children cannot make decisions for themselves and require an adult to make the best decisions. I believe the best time to abort a child is between the baby developing and when the child is six years old. We have done countless studies and we have proven that a child of the age of six cannot make decisions regarding his family’s best interest. We have also studied a wide range of children minds and we have found that a person will forget 99% of when six years old or younger. With this being said I feel that the more experienced and educated parents should be able abort their child if they feel it will help them in the long…

The topic of abortion is very controversial in the U.S. In the U.S, people are either Pro-Choice or Pro-Life, or somewhere in between. The main issue the two sides argue about is whether or not a fetus is a person. Where we draw the line isn 't yet agreed upon. There are many different situations that abortion may or may not be appropriate.…

In my own views of abortion I think that abortion is taking an innocent humans life. It really doesn't matter if he or she is not born yet. They are developing to have their own life's, to grow, not to be killed. Killing a baby that is not yet born is taking their own rights. It is easy for someone to take it away because the baby cannot fight for it.…

I.Introduction The topic of abortion is currently one of the most controversial issues. The 1973 supreme court ruling of Roe v. Wade allowed for women to legally obtain abortions throughout their entire pregnancy, however, conditions were put into place that allowed for states to regulate abortions during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy. The right to have an abortion is protected under the constitution’s 14th amendment which protects the basic rights of citizens. This ruling has left our country divided in half by those who are for and against abortion. Those who oppose Roe v. Wade are referred to as pro-life and those in agreement are pro-choice.…

There has been a long existing debate of “Pro-Life” versus “Pro-Choice” about whether or not women should be able to abort a child. Many people being Pro-Choice will use the argument that the fetus isn 't a living person, and rather that it is the woman’s body; therefore the woman’s choice. There are other options women have such as adoption: waiting until the baby is born and providing the child a well-suited family to properly care for them. I believe any way you can avoid aborting a child is better than abortion because you give the child a chance for life. An unborn child in the womb contains all of the characteristics for it to be considered living, proving abortion is morally and scientifically wrong.…

A woman will have to decide for herself, based on what she believes in, how her life will be with those beliefs, and who she will integrate with her decision. Abortion is not a choice for everyone, however for Pro-choice supporters is the right decision whether it is for convenience or to a woman who was a rape victim and wanted to end the pregnancy. It seems like an easy fix to a life problem that you can 't solve by yourself. If you start thinking about what will happen if abortions were made illegal, consequently a number of women will become injured or sterile as a result of the procedure. People will think that giving the child up for adoption could be the solution but in most cases, this can be very emotionally damaging for the child 's mother.…
