Guttmacher lists all the requirements for each state to get an abortion in: "43/50 states abortion is prohibited except in cases of life or health endangerment." But if it 's prohibited in that many states unless of a health emergency why is it so common to hear about people getting them? AbortionNo shares that only 1% of women that have had an abortion is because of rape or incest. 6% is because of potential health problems with the mother or the child, and the other 93% is because of social reasons, or in other words they don’t want the responsibility of their actions and taking care of a child. Many women use abortion as a backup plan for if their birth control didn 't work or when they weren 't using any at all. There are people out there that want families and are not capable of reproduction on their own. Therefore, they are in need of others that can have children, and either cannot take care of the child, or is not in a position to have a family yet, and have given them up for adoption. This allows the child to live and not put that stress on the mother 's body physically and mentally and allows another family to take them in and help them throughout life, also giving them that opportunity to have and to raise a family. The CDC says that: "The number of women ages 15-44 with impaired fecundity is 6.7million" just in the United States. So instead of killing 3,000 innocent lives each day we could be providing for others in the 6.7 million that cannot have children of their own.
In conclusion, abortion is not the answer and should be stopped it’s becoming to much of a common thing in people 's lives and it shouldn’t be. It’s killing thousands of babies everyday because they weren’t suppose to happen, or they weren’t convenient at that time. There are other options out there that are less harmful and should be taken advantage of
