For the duration of this show, many events occur that express irrationality. One of these events include the arrangement to get married an extremely short time after Romeo and Juliet initially meet each other. Juliet, being somewhat more reasonable, reevaluates herself afterwards and reflects on her decision. Romeo, on the other hand, is a compulsive teenager who takes the first opportunity he has for true love. This idea of Romeo being less reasonable is furthermore explained by the scientific knowledge that the male teenage brain is not fully developed, especially within the frontal lobe, where choices are made. For instance, in the scene where Romeo purchases the potion from the apothecary, he does so on his own without receiving anybodies wise, much needed advice. This event signifies Romeo’s adoration for Juliet due to the fact that he fakes her death in order to be able to marry her. The concept of self-sacrifice arises in the Holy Bible. Jesus offered himself to be killed because of his abounding love for the people on this Earth, and his desire to pursue a relationship with everybody pushed him to act in this way.
