The Great Gatsby is a novel written by F. Scott Fitzgerald. This book was written during the Jazz age, this was during the 1920s. In the story, Gatsby throws huge parties and a lot of people always show up. It is ironic at the end of the book because barely anyone shows up to Gatsbys funeral. Money cannot fully satisfy humans, Fitzgerald is able to show that with Gatsby. Daisy in the Buchanan Mansion is another great example because she lives a life of luxury and pretty much doing nothing all day, but she still is bored and wonders what others may be doing.
