The movie I watched was Ironclad, a 2011 movie about the 1200 battle at Rochester castle England. The author Jonathan English did a great job arranging the while movie. He also produced the movie with Rick Benattor, and Andrew J, Curtis. The top 3 actors in Ironclad were: Paul Giamatti, Jason Flemyng, and Brian Cox. I watched this movie while falling asleep in our movie room. The movie also was in color, based off of fictional events.
Part Two: The Plot
The movie was very thrilling and is easily one of my favorite movies because of the plot. The plot starts out with king john signing the Magna Carta under the pressure from Baron William d’ Aubigny. King John regrets signing the Magna Carta and higher the Danish warlord Tiberius to recapture King Johns land. Baron William d’ Aubigny leads Marshall (a templar), Guy (a squire), Gil Becket (a local man), Daniel marks (a father but good friend to the baron) and Jedediah (a petty thief) to protect the Rochester castle. King John led his army to the castle but is stopped by an epic fight causing Jedediah to die. The king tries again with no prevail but causing Daniel marks to die in the fight. The King being frustrated that he can’t take over this castle threatens the warlord from Denmark that if you can’t take down this castle then I will storm your land. The reality of the movie was omitted to man an interesting story about a templar being a great warrior and fighting for what he stands for. All of the barons men weren’t real but the baron was real himself. In reality King John actually rewarded the Templers with exemptions from taxation and they received special privileges. Baron William d’Aubigny was a real person but never lead a group of such small numbers into the castle to protect
