The best thing we love about Irene is her big loving heart. She is always kind to others. In school, many kids love to play with her because of her sweet and nice personality, besides the imaginative and fun part. At home, she gets along very well with her toddler sister Vera, showing great capacity to care and the willingness to help.
Irene started her full day Montessori preschool before three, as the youngest in her class. Unlike the very talkative one at home, she is a quiet observer and learner at school. Her teachers often tell us how surprised they are when they notice this quiet girl actually learns things very quickly and knows a lot more than they thought. She likes to turn stories into her own drawing, such as Elsa and her ice castle, Berenstain Bears and their big tree house, and the latest Vera crying on Santa's lap. Collecting different leaves, acorns and rocks are also her favorite things.
Overall, Irene is a sweet girl who loves art, reading, and exploring the world. She is strong in logic, language and creativity. She is a little shy in public, and needs to have more self-confident and more encouragement to pursue her dreams.
This world is becoming more and more competitive. As parents, we believe STEM is fundamental to early education. In the meantime, exposure to a broad range of topics and activities are equally important. We hope Irene can learn solid science, and more importantly, establish the life-long interest of learning. We want her to grow into a decent and confident person, socially and emotionally prepared for the real society.
