Loving v. Internal Revenue Service The interpretation of a statute that an agency administers can come under scrutiny by the court if a lawsuit is filed against the agency. This was the case of Loving v. Internal Revenue Service (IRS). The IRS decided to regulate tax-return preparers because of some concerns about their performance. The new rule required “tax-return preparers to pass an initial certification exam, pay annual fees, and complete at least fifteen hours of continuing education each year” (Miller, Pg. 854).…
1.Since it 's the beginning of a new year in college, it would be good to at least analysis my progress during high school, check for any improvements, and apply them to the new school year at college. Also this assignment will give us a set image on what can I expect from my intentions for the years ahead. It is necessary for IDH 1001 because it gives us a reflection of ourselves which we can take our reflection to somewhat predict the future in the Honors College. 2.This assignment will make me mindful about the things I write about myself as well as the reflection of my true character. It’s easy enough to dramatize how great I am as a student; however, this assignment is like a test of honesty; it will set a unique difference of my character than setting up the common theme of just a good student at school.…
During the first half of the semester for ENC 1102, I believe that my writing skills have improved from ENC 1101; some of which are getting to page length, correctly citing a source, and incorporating how a quote is related to my argument. I still have some errors within my writing that I have not quite figured out how to tackle. Some concepts that I have not gotten down to a tee must be coming up with a thesis statement, basic grammar errors, introducing quotations, and repetition. I have also learned how to distinguish the difference between a personal essay and an argumentative essay with first hand on the two types and how why my grade differed from essay one and two.…
My responsibility for this workshop was to proceed with a handover of a patient to an intern (played by Dr. Michael Adamson). This was a particularly disasterous session. My performance was not only unfit within the scope of academic criteria, but was clearly short of acceptable for a real-world SBAR. During the reading of the scenario I was daunted by the task of having to SBAR report a patient to admission at a hostpital, based on information I was reading for the first time; my practice with the hand-over system was minimal prior to the session.…

I redirected Alex’s manners when foster parent and I were talking. I shared with Alex the details of the visit after Alex what he could receive of he is “good “during the visit. Alex and I went to Books-A-Million to work on his coping skills and interactions with peers and adults. I asked Alex questions to observe his body language, the use of coping skills and responses. I redirected Alex behaviors in the book because he started to shut down and other times had a small tantrum.…
Sandra, I could think of one area in which to me the 5Cs did not do a good enough job for improved patient outcomes and that would be in the area of patient identification because it relies on verbal affirmation of name (Institute for Safe Medical Practices, 2011). I work at the VA and for whatever reason I have and can have three John Richardsons in one night to care for of my six patients all clustered in the same area (some may be spelled slightly different)! Or all my patients or in for the same condition. I have had to stop many doctors from going into the wrong room to consult on a patient when they have just scribbled the name of the patient on a piece of paper. Sometimes I do not catch them in time and they walk out asking why certain…
Reflection paper A report from The Institute of Medicine’ s (IOM) report demands on nurses to play a more prominent part in America 's inexorably intricate health care framework (ANA, 2011). Nurses and most of the nursing organizations profoundly recognizes the IOM for its recently discharged report on the nursing profession and recognizes the requirement for nurses to play an administration part in all settings to meet the requests of our moving health care framework. Many of the elements and proposals of the “IOM Report on the Future of Nursing” are reflected in our enduring work to propel the nursing profession (ANA, 2011). The “IOM report” has 8 recommendations (Institute of Medicine, 2011).This paper will explain this author’s feeling…
The objective of this essay is to reflect on the experience I came across during my clinical placement in one of the NHS trust in London. I will be reflecting on safeguarding vulnerable adult with mental health problem. According to Driscoll (2007) reflection enables health care worker to analyse their practice and seek possible reasoning and different approach to performing their skills. Nursing and Midwifery (2015) states that nurses must maintain confidentiality and privacy.…

I have participated in many events and look forward to staying in this program for the next three years. This is my experience… During the first few days of JROTC, everything was very new to me.…
I had several low points. Finding out that I would not get to work with the patient I had worked hard to prepare for was discouraging. Being switched around so many times made me feel like I was on a rollercoaster all day. I tried to ask questions about the NAG and got put off both times. I wasn't sure if I needed to continue to work on the NAG of my original patient or if I needed to switch the NAG information to the second patient I was assigned to share with a fellow student.…
I will give a quick overview of the VSim we were supposed to do/attempt and I will go into detail of the VSim its self for this reflective journal. Our patient is a 54-year-old man named Carl Shapiro. Carl arrived to the emergency department (ED) at 13:30 having complaints of angina, diaphoresis, and shortness of breath. The physician had Carl treated with two doses of sublingual nitroglycerin and a dose of aspirin in the ED. The nurse started an IV infusion of normal saline running at a rate of 25 mL/hour.…
I'm glad to help you! I probably spent 30 min out of class time on AP Physics and Chem-- I honestly just worked really hard in class and did my HW/reviewed my notes the night before tests. That's totally dependent on how good your teachers are and your own natural ability in the sciences. I did a minimal amount of outside work for Lang, only really for projects because we did all our essays in class. APUSH took like hours each night, because it was a lot of reading and I'm a slow reader.…

The concepts delivered throughout the management problem-solving course have provided me with valuable simulated real-life experiences which can be applied in my everyday work life as a HR Administrator with aspirations of progressing my career. The course delivery was such that as a student, I was able to use my existing knowledge and skills, in addition to that of my peers, to analyse and explore complex organisational problems. This course has challenged the way I think and deepened my understanding of the problem-solving process, which has enabled me to perceive issues from new perspectives, I once would not have considered. Additionally, it has also allowed me to make explicit and authentic connections between the course content and my…
