The artists that have influenced me the most are Iranian rappers. Iranian rap is known as underground rap, due to rap performances being illegal in Iran. Therefore, these artists risk being arrested, in order to spread awareness and bring about change. Their lyrics have a profound influence on young people and increasingly the masses have begun to accept rap as a tool for public awareness. I admire these artists as they lyrically described their surroundings and the hardship people face in their everyday lives. In my opinion, Iranian rappers have mastered rap that stands for a cause, some can even be called lyrical geniuses. Furthermore, these artists live by their lyrics meaning that, they experience every day what they lyrically represent.
