Iranian dam attack: On march 2016, US justice dept, publicly blamed Iranian hackers of having access to the bowman avenue dam. In this attack, the hackers gained access to confidential information. This information was on how the control system of Dam operates. New York law enforcement initiated an investigation and identified that the hacker did not only succeeded in gaining control of the dam but was from a group of criminals who had attacked 46 websites including many banks and stock exchange companies, and this hacker belonged to the same group.
