This ad for the iPhone has a perfect mix of logos, ethos, and pathos in their ads. They arguably have the best advertisements in this day and age, and this is displayed in the success of their products, from the MacBook to the iPhone to the iPad. They have set the standard as they created the first popular smartphone and started the revolution of phones becoming bigger and thinner. This never would have happened without their captivating advertisements.

The human brain, according to Simon Sinek, is motivated strongest by emotions and why they should buy the product. When people feel emotionally motivated, it is the strongest type of motivation, and they are more likely to act. This is why pathos is the central part of Apple advertisements. In this ad, the words on the top describe how people “love their iPhone” and this strong diction appeals to our emotions. The pictures of the phones also appeal to our emotions with the aesthetically appealing model. The music is also great in Apple ads which also appeals to people’s emotions. In Apple’s video ads, they use events that indirectly apply to the product without talking about it. This appeals to people’s emotions because they see incredible images without having to listen to every statistic of the iPhone, which subconsciously gets them to like the iPhone even more. The celebrities in the commercials enforce Apple’s credibility as they use Apple products themselves. The more important fact is that they have become a name brand, and they are deeply ingrained in our society. It is almost impossible to go a whole day without seeing an Apple product if you are living in a city. This credibility is great as Apple has already established themselves as a trustworthy and reliable
