On 10-15-2015(Thursday) at approximately 1725 hours I Officer Hildebrand and Officer Tim Williams were dispatched to 1217 W Park (Town and Country) in regard to two thefts that had taken place. The thefts had similarities with each other as both suspects went into the store with the same child. I collected photos and videos’ of both thefts and returned to the station to review them.…

Implications for practice, is simple. As a teacher or counselor, document every meeting and communications with the ARD team, with the parents, and with child. Review IEP as often as required or upon request. If the IEP is not producing adequate results with any one student, it is necessary to work together with the teachers and parents to improve or change IEP. Each student and family situation is unique, and it may be necessary to adjust an IEP to better suit an individual child.…
DOJ law enforcement entities assisting in border control and enforcement include the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF), and the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA). U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is DHS’s primary law enforcement agency, made up of the U.S. Border Patrol (USBP), Office of Field Operations, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and Air and Marine Operations, which are responsible for securing America’s borders (DHS Budget, 2016). Background of Topic Modern organized crime is characterized by groups of criminals, often across different countries, conducting crimes for personal monetary gain. Crimes include, human and drug trafficking, extortion, money laundering, capital fraud, premeditated assassination, etc. In some cases, crime syndicates are even powerful enough to influence election results and initiate political corruption. These groups can be highly organized and bureaucratic in nature, due to extensive rules and operational procedures, a distinct chain of command, and multiple cells for various tasks.…
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The agency has overseen a massive increase in deportations, which have nearly doubled since 9/11. After 9/11, the Bush administration tried to see immigration enforcement as a way to fight terrorism. By increasing deportations, the people in America know the majority of who is in America and who we have sent away. Immigration enforcement increased dramatically after September 11.…
To protect the United States the government established the Border and Transportation Security division. The Border and Transportation Security division is responsible for protecting our borders from the illegal movement of drugs, weapons, and immigrants trying to cross the border illegally, while at the same time encouraging legal entry and exit in and out of the United States. Border security has strengthened a lot over the past decade. In order to keep our borders safe, the DHS has invested more in using radars, stronger sensors that can detect from farther away, and also have aerial assets which means that they have more helicopters and more eyes on the sky to insure that no one passess the border illegally. The DHS is also responsible for transportation security which involves securing the flow of people and goods along the nation’s highways, railways, airways, and waterways.…
Prohibition was a baffling time in US history. The United State of America was place that lived for its freedom but Prohibition seems to go against that principle. The 18th amendment told people that they were not allowed to drink a beverage that they had been enjoying for years. It was historian W.J. Rorabaugh that best described it by saying “Americans drank from the crack of dawn to the crack of dawn.” But even with this kind of thinking the amendment was passed and it changed the way America would function and gave way too many faces we still recognized today.…

Is Obedience a problem for America? I have read the articles and watched the videos about statism, saying that Americans are basically a herd of cattle following along doing what they are told, and not questioning whether this is the right thing to do. Laws which in this article basically add up to rules put in place by our forefathers. Not questioning if we are truly free.…

Intelligence in Homeland Security Introduction After the attack of 9/11 on the United States the Nation learned there were many areas that needed improvement in regards to the security of the homeland. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) had to take into account the lessons learned from 9/11, especially the shortfalls that were seen in intelligence gathering and make some major changes. The DHS is not the only agency that is responsible for gathering information for the Nation’s safety, there are many different national agencies that provide intelligence for homeland security. Some of the National agencies include offices that many have heard of like Customs and Border Patrol, the U.S. Coast Guard or the Secret Service, but there are other National agencies that contribute that most Americans may not know about.…
