The authors want the reader to know that through faith they can overcome any obstacles put in their way. By giving the real life experiences of a family in Iraq at the time, the authors were able to make their claim that much more credible and persuasive. The authors are really showing how you can take control of your destiny by keeping faith and always having something worth believing in. For the women in this blog, though she was mentally and emotionally drained, she never allowed herself to become spiritually drained and she never resorted to blaming God for all of her misfortunes, instead she looked at everything happening to her in an optimistic way.
