Wrongful Conviction On the morning of August 10, 1984, Deborah Sykes was brutally stabbed, sexually assaulted, and eventually killed in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The man convicted for her murder was Darryl Hunt, a 19 year old boy that would go on to spend 20 years in prison for a crime he did not commit. Hunt was convicted based on eye-witness testimony and informants, but was later exonerated based on DNA evidence that matched a man that was caught just a few months after the murder took place. This case is an exemplar of the strength of DNA evidence and the fragility of eyewitness testimony.…

In my opinion, Sandia Laboratories should not try to hide the case, or pretend the one never existed. Sandia claims to be leaders in global security, so most probably they know what are the consequences of such a big threat as espionage. Personally, I believe that they did not want their reputation to be run-down. At the end, they are experts in nuclear weapon systems, defence & assessments systems, energy & climate systems and finally, in global security and yet, they have been compromised. However, just alike Carpenter, the management had more choices to solve this out.…

Underscoring virtually all of the conceptual difficulties of copyright protection for computer software is an uneasy match between a legal mechanism aimed at protecting the fruits of creative labor, which has evolved for centuries around artistic and literary concepts, and devices that control a machine. It is not surprising, therefore, that prior to the enactment of the Copyright Act of 1976 and the advent of mass-marketed computers for use in homes and small businesses, the interests of program developers were protected largely by trade secrecy and by contract. Nevertheless, when Congress enacted the 1976 Act it appointed CONTU 6 to study, inter alia, the possibility of extending copyright protection to computer programs,17 while provisionally…

This essay will discuss, the evidence and testimonies given, the reasons Tshuanahusset was found guilty, and pose the opinion that there was not enough evidence to convict Tshuanahusset, and that John Norton and Sue Tas were responsible for framing Tshuanahusset, if not responsible for the murder itself. This is a mystery filled with suspicious circumstances, and minimal evidence.…

"We should call in Lila." Detective Tom Reilly dropped the photo he held in his fingers, and leaned back in his seat to stare at his partner, Jarrod Blair, with those words. "I'm not sure, Jarrod," he replied as his gaze was drawn back to the image of the bruised and battered, naked and defiled woman that had landed face up on his wooden desk in the 96th precinct. The one whose slim, attractive features, age, long brunette hair, and deep brown eyes reminded him of his wife, and the mention of her name in connection to the case sent a shiver down his spine.
