In this figure (10°C trial), the two test tubes are clearly labeled with 1 and 7, test tube 1 contains the 1 cm³ liver and test tube 7 contains the 5 mL of hydrogen peroxide. these two test tubes are in a 250 mL beaker containing approximately 125 mL of tap water and ice. The thermometer was placed in test tube 7, which contains the hydrogen peroxide to measure the temperature of the solutions. The hydrogen peroxide was poured into the test tube containing to the liver and was observed.

Independent Variable
The independent variable is what is being measured in the experiment.
The temperature of the hydrogen peroxide solution (10°C, 20°C, 30°C, 40°C, 50°C, 60°C)
This is used to determine the rate of the enzyme catalase reaction. Dependent Variable
The dependent variable are the values, which depend of the independent variable.
The height of the froth in the test tube when the liver cube is reacted with hydrogen peroxide.
The height of the froth is determined by the rate of the of the enzyme catalase reaction at varying temperatures.

A constant variable are variables that remain the same throughout the experiment.

This is to ensure that the measure of the two solutions are correct for all the trials. The time and the height where the height of the froth is measure also have to be consistent because if the time was not 20 seconds for each test, some trials could have more or less reaction time, which could affect the height of the froth making it higher or lower. The line where the height of the froth is measured from will has to be the same for each trial as it could also cause inconsistencies if the line is higher for one test and lower for another as the froth is measured in millimetres and could affect the accuracy of the
