Dyson, W. E. (2012). Not all terrorist operates like regular criminals. Some tasks seem to difficult when it comes to terrorist. I have discovered through some situations that terrorist is not the ordinary criminal. Terrorist seem to "fly" below the radar of the police as they are not committing "ordinary" crimes per say. When they do decide to commit meaningful crimes. For example, the world trade center. Investigators needs to use different methods when tracking suspected terrorist and when they are caught, different interview techniques need to be done. Terrorist know what to say (or lack there of) to law enforcement and using the same interrogation techniques used on a regular criminal will not work. I agree the public will play a vital role in the fight against terrorism, but they must not be afraid to do so. When a terrorist is trying to carry out an attack it is to prove a point and show that they were right. Unlike a regular criminal they want something out of it for example money. Another wonderful tool that investigators may need to track is the State and Local Anti-Terrorism Training Program also provides for a searchable. Terrorism Incident Database that displays terrorist events by topic, search engine, and geospatial parameters.
