Insulin
I chose insulin because I read about it a while ago but did not understand it really good and now it is the right time to understand it. It is also perfect that insulin is an industrial invention.
According to the Nobel Prize Website the guy who invented insulin was Frederick Bantings. He was born in 1891 the 14th of November in Alliston - Canada. Frederick Bantings sadly died in 1941 the 21st of February. Frederick Banting was a physician so in 1921 he and his friend Charles Best, they were the first ones to take out the insulin from the pancreas.
What is Insulin?
Insulin is a hormone that is located in the B-Cells in the islets of langerhans in the pancreas.

For diabetes type 1, there is an organism in the body that that attacks the B- cells in the pancreas by mistake so then you can’t make insulin anymore. For the diabetes type 2 the pancreas does not make enough insulin for the body, by the time the body’s insulin gets less. Some of the diabetes type 2, the cells fights the insulin so that the glucose could enter the cells
How has insulin changed over time?

1869- The first thing that happen was that Paul Langerhans( medical student) discovered the cells in the pancreas.
1889- Oscar Minkowski and Joseph Van Mering started to study the effects of digestion after removing the pancreas from a dog, the results showed that there was sugar in dogs urine.
1901- Eugene Opie was the first one to discover that in the islets of langerhans there is insulin and that the cells were resulted in
