I believe that the issue of abortion, welfare, and Kirk’s six points significantly contributed to the rise of conservatism because they convey the issues of religious as well as financial conflict and the general mindset of traditional conservative values. In addition, they have also created great political shifts within our country that have shaped the general outcome of what our country is today. Such as Regan’s primarily conservative presidency, the battle for women’s rights in terms of abortions, or the general welfare state of America. All those issues have provided a significant insight to where out country is leaning in the near
