And her answer surprised me. I totally wasn’t expecting that as her answer. She told me that she is actually an introvert. People assumed that she was an extrovert because she was part of the human resource department. Being part of the HR department means that she deals with people and need to communicate with them a lot. She said is very helping people and all. During the GA I noticed this. The members were all so excited and happy. There were also times the they would laugh at their inside jokes. I could see that they are very close and that they support each other.
Her is most significant college experience was during her NSTP program where she got to teach moms in a partner community about financial literacy. The experience really inspired her to do more and to serve others in any way that she can. She is really passionate about helping people see how much potential they have.
One of the greatest things she learned being a leader in ASEC as a leader is that “if you don’t trust in others or believe in what they can do you’re going to end up doing everything yourself. I mean that’s how I used to be. I am a micromanager so I have the tendency to do everything myself because I have trust issues with other people but I learned that other people have so much potential also and some people like especially presidents from the past years they saw the potential in me and they learned to believe in me so I guess that helped me see that other people don’t suck and that they have a lot of potential too. Now I am really happy because I have children in ASEC like sila yung mga alaga ko and they’re the ones who I am honing to be leaders also and it’s a good feeling.
