Job Satisfaction can simply be defined as the feelings people have about their job (Kamal & Hanif, 2009). It implies doing a job one enjoys well, and being rewarded for one’s effort. It further implies enthusiasm and happiness with one’s work since the attitudes and feelings indicate job satisfaction. A positive and favourable attitudes result in job satisfaction from the appraisal of one’s job experiences will be more co-operative and motivated while those who are dissatisfied will be inclined to produce low performance. According to De Beer (2007) and George (2008) examined job satisfaction can be influenced by a variety of factors for instance person’s own experiences, physical, social, emotional and economic factors.
In addition, needs of satisfaction and motivation to work are very essential in the lives of teachers as they are the fundamentals reason for working in life. The level of job satisfaction is affected by intrinsic and extrinsic factors where intrinsic factors determined by a person’s motivation which impact them in their work situation. Goal setting theory assumes the outcome is link to the effort in making a job more satisfying towards achieving goals. As it relates to interviewee’s response, by setting new set of goals for each year or every 3 months are the reasons for him to be motivated. If goals are unachievable, he would see the problem on himself or students and solve them in order to earn recognition and achievement of being a great teacher.
