Into The Woods Critique

The “Into the Woods’ performance was amazing. It was the first performance of a play at AHS that I have ever attended and it made me regret not attending more. It was so good. I have never seen the full movie version of this musical, but watching this play made me want to watch the movie. So many people at our school have wonderful voices and I never knew because I never took the time to go to any of the plays. The main reason I went to this show was because I had volunteered to Usher, but I am really glad that I did. It was so good, and I definitely would have paid the money to see this performance. Asheboro High School has some really talented students who can go far in life if they put their mind to it. The effort and dedication that these performers put into making this show happen …show more content…
Many of the songs were sung by more than one person, many were duets or more. The way these people balanced and blended their voices was great. It wasn’t noticeable who was singing which part and that made it more professional. The ranges of their voices is amazing. They were so good at keeping pitch and rhythm as the songs changed. I went to the third night showing of the play; therefore, many of the performers voices were already fading from the previous two nights, but they still managed to put on a great show. The attacks were a bit touchy in some of the songs where there was more than one person singing, but the releases were together. I feel like these performers were very determined to make this show a success and they succeeded. As an audience member I enjoyed the show very much. After watching the show I went and tried to watch the movie version and I never quite finished it. However, I got pretty far into it and the way these high schoolers were able to perform such a great musical with only so much rehearsal time is amazing. I envy what the members of the show were able to

Furthermore, the stage setup was utilized well. With the stage in the middle, they had three sides of audience seats that surrounded the stage. I thought this set up made the play more interactive and able to focus on the main character more closely. The lighting for this play was used effectively as well.…

I went to see ‘Elf the Musical Jr.’ on Thursday, December 1, 2016. The tickets were $15 For decent seats and in my opinion, the show plus the seats that we had were not at all worth the $15, that we spent. This musical is not a show that I would recommend to anyone, at anytime. It was that bad. But, to help you understand in my own opinion as to why ‘Elf the Musical Jr.’ was so bad, let me give you some feedback and get into a little more detail in the next few paragraphs.…

In the excerpt located on pages 1033 to 1035, Abigail Williams, Mercy Lewis, and Mary Warren gather and converse in the bedroom of an ill Betty Parris to form a consistent story about the events that occurred in the forest, prior to the ailments of Betty Parris and Ruth Putnam. Abby initiates the conversation in hope to evade any possible inconsistencies in each girl's story, that would lead to the group receiving any sort of punishment. The conversation begins between Abby and Mercy. Abby informs Mercy that if questioned Mercy must say that the girls on danced while in the forest and nothing else. Abby also tells Mercy that Reverend Parris say Mercy in the woods naked and that Tituba, who also played a part with the group in the forest,…

In death of the woods, the old woman was a symbolic vampire. Before we discuss vampires, it might be helpful to know what vampires are. Foster talks about vampires in chapter 3 when he says, “It’s also about things other than literal vampirism: selfishness, exploitation, a refusal to respect the autonomy of other people, just for starters.” In this paragraph, I will show that the old woman did all three. First, the woman refused to respect the autonomy of another organism.…

God has blessed these performers with beautiful voices and talents, and it was really nice to know that even though a big crowd wasn’t in the main Chapel to listen and applaud them , they all tried to put there all in it. This had shown the passion they have for what they are doing. For The lunch hour concert, musicians were a on a low energy which the few of us in the congregation was feeding off on.…

Rocky Horror Show Review Rocky Horror Show most definitely lived up to the sense of style it should have had. There was much sexual humor present throughout the show especially from the actors that sat in the audience. They kept up the sexual humor so the actors on stage could go somewhere with their scene and create a plot. There was much audience interaction because of the prop bags (that was a great way to help the audience be involved), and with the whole play starting with Magenta in the audience and ending with the dancers doing the Time Warp in the aisles.…

It was as if there was not a crowd watching them perform, especially during the romance scenes between Maria and Tony. It was if they were the only two in the room. The two did not miss a reaction from each other. When one smiled the other did the same, it was as if they were actually in love. One critique I do have about the romance scenes is how quickly the two fell in love.…

I usually just skip songs in any movie not matter what it is. The songs in this play, however, were just too catchy and nice to skip! I even got one of the songs stuck in my head. My favorite part of the musical was surprisingly the musical numbers, especially “Summer Nights.” The dancing and the singing of all the actors all participating added a happy feel over all to the mood.…
