Films have always shown ' 'weather porn ' ', violent weather shown destroying homes, vehicles, and etcetera. However, in actuality weather can be violent and destructive an, but in movies every scene is dramatized with special effects. Like in any movie there is a love story, a hero, the anti-hero, and a failed scheme the hero has, and a idea that works. However, all in all the natural hazard movies show how acceptable humans are to storms and what mass destruction can bring, but there is a difference between film and reality. Films do show weather porn to the fullest extent, by showing how dangerous storms or natural hazards can possibly become but, films don 't show reality because of the bucks they can make …show more content…
The scenes of the film were shot at Lake Orion, Auburn Hills, Washington, Armada, Orion Township, Brighton, Detroit, Pontiac, Oakland University and Woodhaven in the Michigan, United States. This film is produced by Todd Garner and is directed by Steve Quale. Trey, Fuller 's other son is shooting the valedictorian ceremony. During the valedictorian ceremony an alarm sounds to alarm the school and area that a tornado has made touched down. All the students and staff head inside to inner hallways of the school. The tornado is able to damage the school roof and everything outside. All students escaped unharmed with maybe minor scrapes and bruises. Fuller calls Donnie to ask for his location to go pick him up and bring him back to safety, and Trey tags along. Fuller and Trey are shocked by the destruction. Meanwhile the storms chasers are not being able to accurate get data about the exact coordinates where the tornado is headed. Pete the storm chaser wants to catch some footage in the eye of the tornado with his weather vehicle ' 'Titus. ' ' A tornado goes by the industrial building and Donnie and Kaitlyn are trapped under debris, to make matter worse there is water pouring into the collapsed industrial building.The storm chasers and the Fullers end up meeting each other outside when they both notice that tornado is making touch down in front of their eye and then collectively they run and hide in a building for protection.
