Knowing one’s personality type can help an individual to better approach their work and personal life. After completing my personality test, it was revealed that I am an INTJ and this paper will provide an overview of my personality type, what that entails, and how that relates to my work life. Each letter type represented will be defined and will start with the first letter type that is introverted, the second is intuition, the third is thinking, and the fourth is judging. Each letter type has a particular influence over my work and personal life and there is an overarching effect with the letter types once combined that form my unique personality profile. This paper will summarize the effects of INTJ and the correlation with organizational behavior.

Honestly, this personality analysis was so accurate that it was difficult for me to find parts of it that I disagreed with. Albeit there were endeavours I encountered while searching for a statement to disagree with, I finally found one that stuck out like a sore thumb; I could not believe that I did not find a disagreeable statement sooner. Items listed, that I agree with, to describe someone with an ISTJ personality would be that they come off as “cold”, perform at the highest efficiency when taking a step-by-step approach, and that we are easily frustrated with inconsistencies within others. Personally, others have told me that they never wanted to talk to me because I looked like a B----, and that I seemed like I was cold hearted. When told this I laughed because although I can be sweet and nice, I am normally a cold person and will only help someone if it will benefit me somehow like getting them to leave me alone. While taking a step-by-step approach to something I do find that I perform better…

Individuals and their personalities play a very key role in organizational behavior. In order for an organization to function at the highest level of productivity, managers must focus on empowering individuals in order to strengthen the group rather than enforcing autocratic leadership to force the individuals to serve the needs of the group. Managers themselves also need to know their own strengths and weaknesses based on their personality types as well as common strengths and weakness for personality types present in their employees. For instance, a people with an Introversion-iNuition-Feeling-Perception (INFP) personality type might be best motivated for the purpose of serving the well-being of others; however, these same INFP personality…
