A bachelor’s degree in social work is the most common requirement for most entry-level positions. However, some employers may hire workers who have a bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as psychology or sociology. Some positions will require a master’s degree in social work. Mr. Boyd also states that many like himself started at the Coalition with a high school diploma full of ambition and empathy for those of who truly needed help.
