The third member that I interviewed was my mother (Sherrie). She is 61 years old and she is very different than me, but we are still close. I would say that she is opposite of me in many ways, such as she is less sensitive and more boisterous. To me she has always been someone that I trusted, but ironically should not have trusted because she always likes to gossip about everything. She means well, but she has proven many times to be untrustworthy. When doing this interview with my mother, I realized that all my relatives have a similar experience of the family. Also, that even though we know what we know we continue to behave the same way. I think it would be more interesting to get more information about my family history and create a bigger one in the future to see if there are similar patterns as you go further and further. It would be nice to see what you can do on a more advanced program, but unfortunately these programs can become very expensive. It would be very interesting to see that software and how creative you could get when making a genogram on it. I also created a powerpoint after making my genogram to include my memorabilia section with pictures of my culture, my childhood, and my family. I thought this would be a good idea for a better understanding of who I am and what I relate to. I like projects such as these where I can add and/or use other media and visuals. I believe that I learn better with visuals so I like to add them when I can to make my projects more interesting and fun. All aspects of this project made me reflect on myself and who I am now because of my family and the things that have happened to me in the past. It also made me think about the things that I want to challenge and face as I move forward in my life
