At the beginning of this interview it was to get to know what it was like to be a teenager 60 years ago and them 30 years ago. As far as being an adolescent 60 years ago school was not a major part of life but it was an opposition. She was able to go to school or work to get extra cash. She would have the opportunity to make extra cash to hang out with friends or boyfriend. Many of her school courses was pretty much the same as it goes on when life goes on. She had a good relationship with her family and having trust with them. Her dress style was pretty much the same as life goes on, she was able to wear pretty much what she wanted to wear. During the first interview of her years as an adolescent, it was a time where she got to experience new things in life whether it was with her family or friends. She had the opportunity to work not to contribute to the family but to have money for herself. This was so that if she wanted to go out with her boyfriend or friend she could go and have money to spend. When she would go out she would be able to have responsibilities of getting home on time, when she did have a curfew, or making smart choices on not to drink and do drugs. While as the second interview she was not aloud to go out and not “exactly have fun” but not be able to go out and hang out with friends. Her parents were more strict and did not allow her to go out with friends and was not aloud to have a boyfriend because her parents already knew that if she got involved with guys she would get distracted. This was another reason why she could not work while in high school, her parents did not want her to work and be going to school at the same time. For her parents, “school was more important to them for her to be attending,” while if she were to work she would get distracted and then would not finish school because she would get used to working and would eventually just not do the
