Interview With A Teacher Essay

There are three teachers currently John Banks’ teacher. It’s a head teacher and two assistances. They are responsible for supporting John. I got to interview the head teacher during nap time. This interview has not been altered. Miss Rogers informed me that John has been with the center for two years. She described him as a sweet lovable and determining child that is eager to learn. A goal Miss Rogers has for John is to begin communicating effectively, and to progress age appropriate. The teacher is very happy with the improvement that John shows. When Miss. Rogers first met John, he excluded himself from a lot of things. He would rather be to himself during group time. Miss Rogers stated that now John improved in transitions, and coronation, words, gestures. He also plays and interacts appropriate with others. Miss Rogers says she wants John Banks’ future teachers to continue to build on the skills he’s improving him, so he can reach the appropriate age level. John showed eye contact with everyone who talked to him. During transitioning the teacher sung a song where they wanted him to wash his hand, she called his name and he instantly looked at the teacher and stood up. He had no trouble locating anybody that was talking period. John didn’t have trouble seeing work his arts and craft, or food. He used his fine motor skills to pick up the food sometimes with his hands during lunch. One day observing John he did wake up with gooey eyes after nap time. It was hard for him to open them.
