On February 17, 2017 I met with William Flowers to conduct an interview about his field that he works in. I decided to interview Dr. Flowers because he is my professor and I have always wanted to work with swine as my occupation. I have always grown up with a small family owned run downed pig farm. Dr. Flowers is very educated in the swine field. He is at the swine educational unit every day and he teaches at NC State university as a swine management professor and many other classes at NC State. Flowers and I talked about the different legal issues dealing with the swine unit. The first legal issue that Dr. Flowers, talked about was teachers getting in trouble for sharing student’s confidential information with other teachers, students, and parents. This is a big issue dealing with information that students have not given the right to teachers to tell anyone their privacy matters such as grades or even things that have been discussed between teacher and student. Teachers can get fired by leaking private information to anyone a student has not confirmed to know about it. Parents sign a form when their student starts college stating the right to have private information told to the parent or not, students make the decision if they would like their parents to know about the information or not. Dr. Flowers also mentioned legal issues dealing with money that is used for the swine unit or for classroom items. There has been times where people used money for other reasons not dealing with the university at all and the professor has been fired because of their actions. While talking to Dr. Flowers I talked to him about any legal issues with the swine
