The Corporation Ferguson Enterprises Incorporated is a publicly traded company, which means that ownership is dispersed among the general public in many shares of stock. The ticker symbol is WOS because Wolseley, a Switzerland-based industrial distributor, acquired the company in 1982 but retained the name Ferguson. Since then, Ferguson Enterprises has grown from a local distributor to an $11 billion company. A wide assortment of marketing techniques helped in the substantial growth. Ferguson Enterprises efficiently uses social media like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Houzz, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn. Furthermore, their television spokesperson is Terry Bradshaw, a former National Football League quarterback.

More specifically, customers tend to be white Anglo-Saxon Protestants because most general contractors are of that descent. The corporation’s largest customers are Yates Construction and Ivey Mechanical. In fact, Yates owns JESCO, and JESCO just built the University of Mississippi’s new parking garage. Ivey Mechanical is in charge of building the new Baptist Hospital in Oxford, Mississippi. Customers select Ferguson Enterprises over competitors because Ferguson provides the best service and industry knowledge. Unlike in retail, most employees for this company have been in the industry a long time and really know what they are doing.
Products
Ferguson Enterprises is the largest wholesale company. The corporation sells and distributes heating and cooling equipment, waterworks, commercial and residential plumbing supplies, and kitchen, bath, and lighting appliances. The most popular consumer product is anything from the Kholer product line. The company’s busiest season is aligned with ideal construction weather, so Ferguson tends to sell the most supplies during the dry months of summer. Mr. Bill Hamblin, a faithful employee, uses his company’s products and makes sure his extended family does, too.

The corporation intends to develop eight new facilities in the southern region of the United States alone. In fact, the next opening will be in Oxford, Mississippi. The other stores will be developed within the borders of Arkansas and Louisiana. In the next five years, Ferguson Enterprises will reach for a radical goal. The corporation wants to become a $25 billion company, and this amount is double what the company currently is worth.
Advice
To fully experience success, one needs to enjoy their career choice. Compensation is not everything. Literally, become a sponge and consume all of the information possible, such as finance, law, accounting, risk management, sales, and customer service. Spend time with an industry leader in their field and work towards being able to perform the same way. As an entrepreneur, learn from every opportunity.
