Interview Narrative Daniel Richter is a 48 year old father, husband, and coach. Dan was born in the Tacoma General Hospital and lives with his wife and two children in Gig Harbor Washington. Dan is currently a commercial roofer and waterproofer for Wayne’s roofing. In his younger years he worked in many restaurants, the papermill, had a short radio job, and was a salesman for in home educational programs. When Daniel has free time he either spends it with his family, watching sports, cooking, gardening, or coaching sports. He is a very loving, encouraging, and caring person.
Daniel stated that he had graduated high school from Decator High School with the class of 1985. Dan had a good high school experience with a few really close friends, “Friends are overrated,” he said with a laugh. Dan leaned back in

He passed all of his classes with above a C average, got all of his credits, made his dad proud and survived four rigorous years of high school. He said a few words at the graduation ceremony and said his goodbyes. Afterwards, as he was pulling out of the parking lot he said that he felt freedom “Ahh I’m outta here” he said as he was reflecting on that day. Graduation was a blastmand it was all worth it he said. He had finally done it; he had graduated high school on that day.
Dan who was sitting in his dirty work clothes put his hands behind his head while pondering how he felt. After a couple of seconds he responded by saying that he wasn’t exactly sure how he felt he had mixed emotions at the time. Then slowly with hesitance he said that he felt accomplished, great, and responsible but at the same time was sad and had a longing sense to go bac. This event happens to most everyone but Daniel recognizes it as being his coming of age moment because he realizes that he is not a kid anymore and he felt like he was finally all grown up and ready to take on the world but in reality he knew that a life with freedom had just
