Participant number one is called Mike ( a pseudonym). He is working as a professor in a one of community colleges in the city of Chicago. In the informed consent form, Mike did not reveal his age, academic background or real name. However, the man seems to be in his fifties. Mike was selected to participate in the study because he met the research interview requirements in the sense that he has been a teacher for multicultural classrooms on post secondary schools in the city of Chicago. Mike was the first volunteer to be interviewed based on his availability.

He stated that not every student came from the same culture and because of the differences in cultural backgrounds; he has to react to students differently. for instance student 's pronunciation is different. He added, “as a teacher, I have to be aware in the classroom of cultural varieties because students did not speak the same language and English is not their native language". Mike continue saying that “students behave and tend to behave differently because of their cultural backgrounds`. "In United States. English is the official language. Those students raised up in areas where English is not the first or even the second language", he added. Mike continue saying that" those students have to learn English before joining colleges. They are shy of their English. That is why they did not participate in the classrooms lest they commit mistakes and other students laugh, they fear that did not speak correctly". He stated, “it is the responsibility of teachers to encourage those students not to shy and teach them that even if he other students laugh at them, they should not care about that, we are here just to learn, this is another challenge added to challenges when dealing with students from different cultural backgrounds, teachers need to convince those students to participate in the classroom, we are here to learn”. As a teacher one has to be able to study , to know the classroom to know.who are the makeup of the students and where they come from" . He continued saying that “as a teacher, being aware of this in terms classroom differences is important". Mr. Mike said that "some students feel shy in the classrooms, some students did not participate in the classroom and they are not part classroom ... it is the responsibility of teacher to be aware of differences that and every student should feel part of the classroom.” He added that " every student should be involved in the classroom and the teacher should be aware of different cultural backgrounds, he should also be aware of any passive talking and should teach students and especially international students how to listen carefully when some other students are speaking and not to laugh at other students"" Mr. Mike mentioned, “We should make every make student part of the classroom. These students may feel rejected that why some students did not do well in the semester... students also should know other cultures, too". He added that It is the student who must learn the differences and have time to know the differences in the classroom and know that no culture better than the other
