One thing I learned about her that I did not know before was that she went through the Great Depression while she was young. I also realized that many of the things we have today was not even invented when she was young and up until she was an older adult. She and most of the people living in that era had very few of the luxuries that the 21st century has now such as electricity, air conditioners, and washing machines. This will change how I care for elderly people because most see the elderly as bothersome to care for, but once someone gets to know them, they have amazing stories to share from when they were young. Overall, talking to her made me realize aspects of our history that I have not heard from first-hand experience and I am glad to have been able to hear her

The long faced workers dressed in red shirts with the logo on the front and long black pants, scraped greasy pans and washed dirty dishes. The identically dressed workers also answered phones, made pizzas and helped others at the front desk. The countless number of hungry customers poured in and out of the building. I saw red all over, red floors, red pizza boxes, red uniforms, red pizza sauce and red counters.…

But the sad part of this anticipation is wishing past every stage of their development to see the adult they will become. • It should be recommended that healthy foods are to be mixed with unhealthy foods at children’s eye level, so more of a healthy variety is displayed. • Cartoon characters that appeal to children should also be placed on healthy cereals and dairy products. This would provide some persuasion for children to make healthier eating choices and could help with their healthy eating habits. • The department of education could also set programs for schools to run that will educate young children on healthy and unhealthy eating habits. This is because children start developing their eating habits young and many people that are older than children are unaware of nutrition values or the consequences of eating unhealthy.…

Children’s growth around this age is much slower but also steadier than it was in early childhood, averaging about 2 inches and 5 pounds every year (Berger, 2016, p. 240). Although I wasn’t sure of the other children’s ages making it so I couldn’t compare, Kylie seemed to be both a healthy weight and height for her age, as she did not appear overweight or too short. Childhood obesity is becoming an increasing problem in the United States with about 18 percent of 6- to 11-year-olds suffering from it; however, it was good to see Kylie was a healthy weight. At this age, the body becomes even more proportional, allowing for the mastery of more complex motor skills. As expected, Kylie was very well developed in her motor skills and used many different…
