Interview Assignment I had my interview with David Sheehan, the associate artistic director at Bloomington Playwrights Project. He said that he would not consider them as competitors. From his perspective, there were more collaborations going on between them recently, for example, the IU Theatre is letting BPP to use some of their equipment. David believed that they should work together and be great resources for each other since their collaborations can maximize the positive impacts that theatrical performances bring to the community. He also believed that BPP is providing a platform for anyone who cares about arts and devotes themselves to arts to build their careers.
Overall, this interview experience was great and inspiring. It helps me understand better what are the purposes for special events and how to balance the artistic qualities and audience needs. By having this interview, I had a clear sense of some of the difficulties and risks they may face while planning for an event. This helps me to get prepared for my future career. It also let me have the chance to know how theatre professionals think about the performing art industry and how they try to work together and bring more influence to the

We chose motivational interviewing. Motivational Interviewing is an approach that works on promoting and engaging essential motivation within the client in order to change behavior.[citation needed] MI is a goal-oriented, client-centered counseling style for invoking behavior change by helping clients to explore and resolve ambivalence. In comparison with non-directive counseling, it's more focused and goal-directed.
