This article is based on an interview of a nurse practitioner (NP) and it expands the discussion on one of the barriers identified by this NP. The NP works on a cardiology unit in a local hospital. She has become an NP since 2007 and licensed for adult population in public health area. During the interview, she has expressed her satisfaction in her working environment and being in the collaboration with multidisciplinary team to provide the best possible patient care. The NP had identified her roles and responsibilities, and ethical challenges to her work. She pointed out three major barriers in NP practice: 1. Administration don’t understand the role of NP; 2.
