There are different types of change of shift reports such as intershift, bedside, and end of shift report used at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. During an intershift report the health care providers communicate information during the shift rather than at the beginning or end. An example of intershift report is when an RN is ready to take his/her lunch break and they provide a report to the other RN. The report provides vital information regarding the patient’s condition and what the current intervention and implementations are.
