Interracial marriages can be a useful barometers for how race relationships are being seen in the United States. Understanding what are the factors that support interracial marriages give insights into how well will the relationship will be harmonious (Johnson and Jacobson 2005; Yancey and Lewis 2009). Greater acceptance can provide an indication that social distance between racial groups are diminishing. Interracial couples church attendance can be a factor in people being willing to accept those that are in interracial relationships. Studies have been done to examine the effects religious affiliations, beliefs about the bible, and religious practices and white’s attitude toward interracial marriages with African, Latinos, and Asians. This study highlighted the complex and contradictory ways that religious life can contribute to the acceptance of the rejections of “non-traditional” family relationships in the ever increasing diverse society.

When all is said and done we need others and we cannot fully be the people God create us to be hating one another. The really is only one race as that is the human race. Researcher and Scientist has recovered all ethnic groups are 99% the same. Therefore we need to accept that we are truly not different because of the amount of melanin in the skin. Getting people to this is the problems. Interracial marriages is not wrong because we are all in the same human family. As long as we love and are willing to be loved is what life is all about. Once society as a whole come to grip with this we will still be a much divided world. Love is always stronger than hate. I long for when all people can get see others as people and not what about of pigmented skin one
