Questionnaires asked about definitions and understandings of anti-social behavior, anti-social behavior ‘occurrences’, community discussion experiences and concerns in the area. These comprised of an open question, requesting respondents to name three behaviors they understood to be anti-social behavior, followed by a list of behaviors – participants were asked to specify whether they thought each behavior was an anti-social behavior. To examine differences in the analysis of behavior as anti-social behavior, participants were offered six articles. The articles were combined, so that very similar behavior was presented in each but the anticipated ‘target’ varied by age.
